ABOUT NATHAN

Hello! My name is Nathan Born and I am a wedding officiant based in Marquette Michigan. I LOVE what I do! I have the privilege and honor of celebrating your big day, and the trust you place in me is no small undertaking.  

I am originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, and moved to Marquette in 2019. Having grown up visiting my family and our cabin near the Porcupine Mountains every summer since birth, I knew what a beautiful place the Upper Peninsula was, and now I am so happy to live here full-time. I originally moved to Marquette to attend Northern Michigan University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in public relations, which helped me affirm my passion for interpersonal relationships and public speaking.

Throughout my career I have amassed a wealth of knowledge in event coordination and management, and because of this, took the next step to help my clients make their days even more memorable as an officiant.  As an award-winning public speaker,  I take the care necessary to convey the emotion behind this special moment in your life. 

I strive to ensure your ceremony is personalized and fits your story. I will work with you and provide a list of pre-written script options, or the option for you to write your own, to build the perfect day. I am a firm believer in that each person's story is unique and your ceremony should reflect that. 

In my free time I love to be near Lake Superior, travel, golf, cook, and spend time with my family.
